Abstract: 摘要: While current GPS navigation uses a 20 digital map, a simulated bird's-eye view, and synthetic 3D pictures to navigate the user, this article presents an innovated approach using an augmented reality interface for providing navigational information tightly matched with the user's cognitive map. Live-view navigation is the trend and will become the standardized interface on the windshield of each car in the next century. A copious amount of user behavior is hidden within OPS raw data and is neglected by GPS navigators on the market. This article presents an algorithm to explore this implicit data to provide personal navigational experience. This article presented a novel approach to designing a new generation of a GPS navigating system, called a live-view navigating system. The LVN system matches the human cognitive map via context-aware and augmented reality technologies.
