Abstract:	地球表面各種活動的能量大部分都是來自太陽 .除了太陽輻射的能量外,其他皆是藉著太陽放出的電漿(即所謂的太陽風),及其所攜帶的磁場,以及一些高能粒子把能量傳到地球.國際太空科學家們為了聯合各國之人力,財力資源,決定於西元一九九○年至一九九五年合作研究日地能量傳遞的物理機制,特別發起一項國際合作計畫,命名為日地能源計畫(Solar-Terrestrial Energy Program,簡稱STEP).本計畫要研究太陽風與磁層的耦合作用,其目的便是要參與此一日地能源計畫中一項很重要的研究.研究期間：8108 ~ 8207
