    Abstract: 微波合成孔徑雷達(SAR, Synthetic Aperture Radar)為不受天候及晝夜限制的主動式微波偵測系統,無論在民事上或軍事上,利用SAR觀念製作高解析力雷達影像已成為重要的遙測資料來源。SAR在地球科學的領域上亦已取得了多方面的應用價值;從海洋的觀測,油污偵測,土地利用,作物生長監測,森林材積估算等等。由於SAR之資料收集具不受氣候影響之特性,對於台灣地區有關災害尤其是水災之監測與分析上助益頗大,不僅於災害發生時可提供空間資訊,即時掌握搶災之時機,更可於災後鑑定受災範圍,以協助政府達到有效之救災工作。為推動國內對於SAR之相關應用之研究,擬利用美國太空總署於六月間實施太平洋環域空載雷達影像實驗計畫之合作機會,進行相關資料包地物、土壤水分等資料之收集與分析,以建立未來有關SAR資料之收集管道,期能提升政府於災害防救與水資源管理決策之效率。 Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is an active microwave remote sensing system.  Its high resolution capability has been an important remote sensing data source. In recent years, SAR has been widely applied in oceanic observation, oil spill detection, land-cover classification, agricultural crops monitoring, and forest biomass estimation. Due to the all weather operation, it is very useful for monitoring and analysis of the natural disasters, especially for flooding monitor. By using SAR, we may obtain the spatial information when the damage occurs and estimate the damaged areas. To expand the applications of SAR and to develop a channel for SAR data collection, we participate the NASA PACRIM-II mission in June. In particular, we will focus on the land-cover classification and soil moisture retrieval. 研究領域:8905 ~ 8912
