In recent years, seeking and reading information on the internet has become a very important way of learning besides the traditional learning on the classroom for students. However, the researchers have found that most of students, even though they are full of confidence with their own internet using ability, are lack of adequate online information seeking and evaluating ability. Therefore, some scholars have proposed collaborative information seeking (CIS) trying to resolve the kind of problem. But the previous researches about CIS are focus on the improvement of auxiliary systems or the enhancement of the group's information seeking effectiveness. There are seldom studies discussing about the influences on the students' internet search ability and strategy after they have finished the CIS activities. According to this, we present two main research questions in this paper. After a ten-weeks experiment, we found that most of the subjects have a significantly improvement on their own internet search ability, including not only the accuracy of keywords and links they have chosen but also the reading ability to find out the information they actually need. In the meanwhile, students also changed their personal internet search strategy after the CIS activities. For this reason, they can pay much more attention on reading, understanding and presenting information, instead of wasting most of the time on searching and scanning information.
