    題名: 異質無線網路之高品質視訊傳輸技術與服務-子計畫一:異質無線網路中視訊服務之節能資源配置與換手技術之研究;Study of Power Saving Centric Resource Allocation and Handover for VI Deo Services in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

    摘要: 本子計畫在98 年度中已完成對分層編解碼視訊WiMax 群播連線之無線電資源分配演算法架構,及相關之效能模擬分析,並已有國際期刊與研討會論文發表。由於在實務上,群播連線在現有無線網路設備不容易提供,因此本子計畫提出軟群組(Soft Group)的觀念加以克服,所提出之資源分配演算法也考慮各使用者所處無線通道品質,利用比價概念,適當的分配群播組(Multicast group),以有效運用無線電資源,並以所有使用者平均接收到之有效頻寬及系統剩餘頻寬做為評估標準。除此之外,亦針對LTE 網路之群播技術進行研究,比較其頻寬分配模式。在今(99)年度計畫中,將SVC 視訊群播無線電資源配置擴充至考慮個別品質要求不同,而進行差異性配置,並將視訊資料採用錯誤更正碼時,資料量增加與調變層級提升進行取捨之研究;除此之外,也對WiMax 睡眠模式參數之妥善設計,以提升節能效果進行研究,至目前為止,相關演算法已設計完成,正進行細部分析模擬中。在接下來的最後(100)年度,將延續這兩年度之研究成果,將LTE 與LTE Advance 接取網路整合進來,研究視訊在WiMax/LTE/LTE Advance 異質網路傳送時之換手與節能議題,並將與其他子計畫之演算法進行跨層(Cross layer)整合設計與測試評估。本子計畫在100 年度計畫之主要研究議題有兩項:一是群播連線在異質網路之換手,這部份之研究將運用LTE Advance 所提供之載波聚集(Carrier Aggregation)及多點協調送收(CoMP)之特性,與MIH 機制結合,提出無縫視訊連線換手演算法;另一研究議題是將LTE 的DRX 睡眠模式與WiMax 之睡眠模式整合,提出Power Saving Centric 之無線電資源配置演算法,與其他子計畫進行跨層設計,以達到在能提供”just enough”的視訊服務品質下,可以獲得更佳之資源使用及節能效率。This subproject completed the radio resource allocation algorithm and preliminary performance analysis of multicast scalable video coding video traffic for WiMax network in 2009 project. And some research results were published in Journal and conference paper. As the multicast connection is not easy to be provided in practical environment, we propose the “soft group”concept to solve it. The proposed algorithm considers the .channel condition and utilizes the willingness to pay concept for multicast group arrangement to maximize the system throughput. The average received bandwidth of each user and the residual bandwidth are the two performance index for evaluation. In addition, the multicast issue of LTE is also studied and analyzed. In the 2010 project, we extended the algorithm proposed in 2009 to be applicable for different quality requirement among users. The forward error correction (FEC) code was also studied to trade off the cost between increase of data volume and the increase of modulation level. In addition, we also investigated the adjustment of sleeping mode for WiMax mobile users to achieve better power saving efficiency. The algorithms have been designed and the performance is under analysis. The purpose of this subproject this year (2011) is to deal with the handover and power saving issues and to cooperate with other subprojects for cross layer design inWiMax/LTE/LTE advance environment. There are two main study issues of this subproject: one is the handover of multicast connection in heterogeneous network. We will properly integrate the advantages of LTE advance, i.e. the carrier aggregation and Coordinated Multiple Point Transmission and Reception(CoMP), and the medium independent handover (MIH) mechanism so as to achieve seamless handover for video connection. The other is to integrate the DRX mode of LTE and WiMax sleeping mode for better power saving efficiency. We will propose the “power saving centric”radio resource allocation algorithm. The proposed algorithm will cooperate with other subprojects to provide “just enough”quality for video services, while the resource utilization and power saving efficiencies can be improved. 研究期間:10008 ~ 10107
