本計畫的整體目標在於協助中央氣象局,參考國外衛星資料同化技術的發展趨勢,將再一步改善中央氣象局應用福衛三號(FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC)無線電掩星(Radio Occultation; RO)觀測資料之能力,進行一維偏折角觀測(Bending Angle)算子作業化之評估。本計畫另一發展重點,在於引進系集卡爾曼濾波(Ensemble Kalman Filter; EnKF)及其與三維變分同化(3-Dimensional Variational Data Assimilation; 3D-VAR)所合成的混合分析方法(Hybrid Analysis Scheme),以評估這兩種方法運用於中央氣象局全球預報系統(Central Weather Bureau Global Forecast System; CWB/GFS)的可行性。The first objective of this project is to assist the Central Weather Bureau(CWB)to improve the application of the FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC Radio Occultation data, by following the current development trends of satellite data assimilation technique at international major operational centers, and to perform the operational feasibility assessment of the One-Dimensional operational operator of Bending Angle data from radio occultation. The second objective of this project to introduce the Ensemble Kalman Filter(EnKF)system and a hybrid analysis system, a combination of the EnKF and the Three-Dimensional Variational Data Assimilation(3D-VAR), and to assess the implementation feasibility of two assimilation systems(EnKF and hybrid)at the CWB Global Forecast System(CWB/GFS). 研究期間:10101~ 10112
