研究期間:10108~10207;This research is a three-year project for studying post-earthquake settlement and deformation behavior of buildings with shallow foundations in liquefiable ground using dynamic centrifuge tests. In the first year, twelve tests are planning to investigate the relations of foundation settlement with story number of building and relative density of model ground. In the second year, eleven tests are planning to survey the influences of footing size and foundation type on post-earthquake settlement of building. In the third year, twelve tests will be scheduled to understand the floating behavior of one-story building with one-story basement and to find the differences of building settlement behavior between real earthquake wave and harmonic sine wave. During the three years, detailed laboratory tests including physical property tests, mechanical tests, permeability tests, dynamic property test and dynamic strength tests will be carried out on the sand specimens, which are used to prepare the model ground in the centrifuge container. Then, these test data will be used to establish the numerical model through commercial numerical program. Numerical tests will be performed to simulate post-earthquake settlement and deformation behavior of buildings with shallow foundations in liquefiable ground. At last, the results of centrifuge tests and numerical simulation will be integrated to deduce a simplified assessment method for predicting post-earthquake settlements of buildings with shallow foundations due to soil liquefaction.
