Abstract: 研究期間:10108~10207;This 3-years project will focus on studying the smarting driving modes for stabilizing the chromatic illumination of high power LEDs. It is to solve the problems of the applications of high power LEDs about their stability and chromatic maintenance under diverse operating temperatures and various driving electric currents. The principle we adapt is to optimize the integration among the optic, electric, thermal and chromatic properties of high power LEDs and their temporal stability. Some effective solutions will be explored. The solutions are including: In the first year, we will intensively explore over the electric and thermal properties of high power LEDs which actually induce to severe drifting in chromatic performance. Especially, when applied in the smart lighting systems, the high power LEDs are inevitable to be dynamically driven under various electric and thermal conditions. We expect to develop an effective model for well compensating the drifting due to the electric tuning and thermal drifting. In the second year, it will further study the temporal decay tendency of the high power LEDs, especially in their lightness and chromaticity. Some self-control and compensation methodology will be developed. Finally, in the third year, parts of the human factors will be introduced into the stabilization on smart driving the high power LEDs. For example the Helmholtz-Kohlrausch effect, Bezold-Brucke effect, and Abney effect will be included. The narrow-bandwidth of the LED spectra are the main cores for the color appearance phenomena. In the long run, we will be able to drive the high power LEDs not only of their stable luminance and chromaticity in any moment but also of their stableness all along their lifetime.
