摘要:	研究期間：10111~10210;Climate change poses a challenge with regard to both scientific uncertainty and different regional impacts. In this concern, planning for the future based on the climate of the past will erode development gains, deepen vulnerabilities, and increase inequities; instead, we need innovation to invest in a technological revolution that can rapidly provide options for adaptation. This viewpoint establishes the national initiation of the Taiwan integrated research program on Climate Change Adaptation Technology (TaiCCAT) and its transdisciplinary approach: Facing the challenge of climate change and future development, it is necessary to build the dialogues among various disciplines and stakeholders as to synthesize the scientific and traditional knowledge. On research design, TaiCCAT addresses three working groups on environmental system analysis, cross-sectoral vulnerability assessment, and adaptation governance to build methodology on local adaptation technology development and assessment. The overall outputs of TaiCCAT are scientific report, assessment system, knowledge platform, and technology report on climate impact and adaptation.
