簡介：本院是全國唯一的地球科學學院，成立於民國八十七年，是由原先設於理學院下之地球科學相關系所整合設立。其中包括本校民國51年復校時的基礎----地球物理研究所，及國內最有歷史的大氣科學系。歷年來大力發展的太空科學，配以本校太空遙測中心的工作，更是國內在這方面的主力。經多年的成長，本院已成全國在地球科學整合型的研究及教學的基地及重鎮。目前有地球科學與大氣科學二個學系，以及地球物理、大氣物理、太空科學、應用地質、水文與海洋科學等五個研究所，分別培養相關領域之學士、碩士與博士之專業人才。
