Abstract:	本研究結合數位科技與人文關懷，運用GIS 等技術建置語言空間分布的資料庫，主要關注客語方言在台灣的分布及所產生的相關變體。本計畫分別選擇苗栗縣的獅潭鄉、泰安鄉，新竹縣的五峰鄉做為空間分布研究的對象。一方面是因為新竹縣和苗栗縣是北台灣客語最集中的區域，另一方面則是因為我們過去已經進行苗栗縣的後龍鎮、南庄鄉、新竹縣的新豐鄉、新埔鎮及桃園縣新屋鄉的家戶語言分布調查。本計畫採用語言微觀研究的家戶調查方式，該研究方法運用GIS、GPS、衛星航空照片等先進科技，紀錄並繪製精確的語言分布地圖。此外，如何將;This study combines digital technology and humanistic concerns, use GIS and other technologies to build the database in language spatial distribution.
