本篇論文是使用美國費米加速器實驗室CDF探測器之1.1fb 數據,利用兩個J/ψ 都衰變至兩個muon之途徑尋找ηb粒子。我們發現有3 個候選事例包括3.6 個背景 事例在我們的搜尋範圍內(9.0 至9.5GeV)。而本篇論文我們給出了ηb的生成截 面,相對於從B強子來的J/ψ的生成截面: 5.0 10 3 ?In this thesis, we present the search for eta_b in CDF by looking into the exclusive eta_b decays into two J/psi where both J/psi decay into di-muon. Using the 1.1 fb^-1 data, we observed 3 candidate events with expected 3.6 background events in the search window, 9.0 to 9.5 GeV. The eta _b production cross section, in relative to the cross section of b-Hadron decay to J/psi X, is measured in this analysis. The upper limit for eta_b production cross section with rapidity |y|<0.6, when multiplied by the decay branching fractions, is found to be < 5.0 * 10^-3
