Abstract: | 隨著小說歷史的演變,當代小說的敘述,包括人物的描繪、人物行動之目的、故事地點的選擇及人物移動的動機等,都不再像傳統小說一樣有明顯的意圖或隱含的意義。比利時法語小說家讓-菲利浦.圖森(Jean-Philippe Toussaint),被譽為新小說(le Nouveau Roman)之後的世代代表之一,在他的作品中更能看出當代小說家寫作手法的轉變。本文學領域之研究從三個不同層面來探討圖森作品中的「無動於衷」(l’impassibilité),進一步瞭解作者如何呈現此一主題:其一,人物的特性,包含內在與外在的表徵以及人物的行動;其二,透過人物的移動帶出小說中的時空問題,針對「地方/非地方」(lieu / non-lieu)以及「時間/非時間」(temps / non-temps)的概念加以分析;其三,綜觀作者的敘事策略,點出其作品的多元性及獨特性。本文透過「瑪麗系列作品」( « cycle de Marie »):《做愛》(Faire l’amour, 2002)、《逃》(Fuir, 2005)以及《瑪麗的真相》(La Vérité sur Marie, 2009),深入探討圖森小說世界中的無動於衷。;As the evolution of the history of novels, the narrative techniques of contemporary novels, including the description of characters, the purpose of their actions, story settings, etc., are no longer as obvious and explicit as the traditional novels. Jean-Philippe Toussaint, Belgian writer, is known as one of the representatives of the generation after the New Novel (Nouveau Roman). Many transformations of the writing techniques could be found in his works. This study explored the impassibility (l’impassibilité) in the novels of Jean-Philippe Toussaint through three aspects. First of all, it was examining the external and inner behaviors of characters. Secondly, the study analyzed the spatiotemporal question, especially for the concepts “place / non-place” (lieu / non-lieu) and “time / non-time” (temps / non-temps). Finally, researcher also pointed out the diversity and the characteristic of Jean-Philippe Toussaint’s novels via his narrative strategies. The purpose of this research was to try to learn about the impassibility in the series of Marie (« cycle de Marie »): Making Love (Faire l’amour, 2002), Running Away (Fuir, 2005) and The Truth about Marie (La Vérité sur Marie, 2009). |
