    Abstract: 小型電離層探測儀(Compact Ionospheric Probe,CIP)為一多合一的探測儀,能實地量測電離層的電漿特性。CIP為先進電離層探測儀(Advanced Ionospheric Probe,AIP)的改良版,將其探測器與科學酬載電力單元整合於大小約10x10x10立方公分的立方體內,不僅減輕了整體質量,也優化了整體的功率。使其探測器與控制器的距離縮減,訊號更加穩定。由於體積的縮減,更有利於放置在不同大小的衛星上。目前CIP將搭載於許多計畫,包含與國際合作的衛星計畫INSPIRESAT-1,國內自製的IDEASAT等,以及多功能型混合式探空火箭上的電離層閃爍儀(Ionosphere Scintillation Package,ISP)。
    CIP的操作介可透過韌體程式撰寫,燒錄於可程式化唯讀記憶體(PROM)內,利用電腦模擬韌體運作後,韌體程式將燒錄於實體儀器中,實際檢視現場可程式化邏輯閘陣列(FPGA)運作情形,透過功能測試,驗證其控制各元件的狀態是否如預期呈現,並與衛星電腦模擬器進行通訊測試,切換不同模式,確認指令的接收切換與資料回傳,利用實體測試,與韌體模擬相互比較,讓韌體模擬上未發現的邏輯錯誤,能以發現並進行韌體程式上的修正。此外,為了確保CIP可在嚴格的太空環境下,正常運作,因此透過實驗室的太空電漿模擬艙設備,模擬太空環境,進行真實電漿特性的量測。
    ;The Compact Ionospheric Probe (CIP) is an all-in-one detector that measures the plasma in-situ in the ionosphere. The CIP is an improved version of the Advanced Ionospheric Probe (AIP) that not only integrates its detectors with Scientific Payload Electric unit(SPEU) in a cube which approximately 10 by 10 by 10 cubic centimeters in size,but also reduce overall weight. In addition to, the power of the CIP is reduced and the distance between the detector and the control detector is shorter than the AIP.Therefore the signal is more stable. Because of the reduction in size of the Volume, it is more conducive to placing on different sizes of satellites. Currently, CIP will be used in many projects, including satellite projects,for example , INSPIRESAT and IDEASAT, etc., and Ionosphere Scintillation Package (ISP)in the multi-function hybrid sounding rockets. Operation of the CIP can be written in the firmware program and burned in the programmable read-only memory (PROM).After the computer is used to simulate the firmware operation, the firmware program will be burned for use in the instrument to view the operation status of the field programmable logic gate array (FPGA), verify the state of each circuit of the control unit as expected by functional test, and conduct communication test with the satellite computer simulator, switch different modes, confirm the receiving switch of the command. In addition, in order to ensure that the CIP can operate normally in a strict space environment, the space environment is simulated through the laboratory′s space plasma simulation chamber equipment to measure the true plasma characteristics.
