    摘要: 泥岩中的斷層帶特性及變形機制的研究相較結晶岩及砂岩匱乏,本研究將以發育在以泥岩為主的古亭坑層中的車瓜林斷層帶為標的,探討泥岩中的斷層帶特性及變形機制。將從區域尺度、中視尺度及微觀尺度三個面向進行調查研究,以UAV(無人機)空拍追跡斷層帶、斷層露頭的清理及製圖紀錄斷層帶特徵、及以光學薄片下的觀察及X光繞射儀(XRD)、X射線螢光光譜儀(XRF)及掃描電子顯微鏡(SEM)等試驗,紀錄微觀構造。欲探討或回答底下的幾個問題: 1.車瓜林斷層的幾何形貌?  2.車瓜林斷層的位移量(displacement)? 3.泥岩的車瓜林斷層帶之構造特性為何?  4. 車瓜林斷層帶之微觀構造特性為何?主要的變形機制為何?  5. 車瓜林斷層帶之剪切帶(shear band)的物理特性為何? 車瓜林斷層近期被報導逆衝到年代32730+/-240BP的沖積層上,為至少屬於第二類活動斷層,本研究的成果將有助於車瓜林斷層可能引致之地震及斷層錯動災害的評估。 ;Characteristics of fault zones in mudstone have been studied relatively less than those ones in crystalline rock and sandstone. This study targets on Chekualin fault zone exposed in mudstone of Gutingkeng formation to explore the characteristics of fault zone in mudstone and associated deformation mechanisms. The survey will be conducted in regional, mesoscopic and microscopic scales. The UAV aerial photography will be used to track the fault zone; scraping and mapping fault outcrops will be conducted to document the fault zones; thin section preparation, XRD, XRF and SEM will be conducted in order to observe and record micro-structures. The matters intentionally discussed or answered in this study are as follows: 1.What is the configuration of CheKualin fault zone? 2. What is the maximum accumulative displacement of Chekualin fault? 3.What are the characteristics of Chekualin fault zone? 4.What are the micro-structures (deformation mechanisms) within the Chekualin fault zone? 5.What are physical properties of the shear bands of Chekualin fault zone? Chekualin fault has been acknowledged recently as second category of active fault because of the new finding that it thrusts onto alluvial sediment with the age of 32730+/-240BP. The results of our study will benefit the earthquake and faulting hazard assessment.
