    摘要: 2014年國際氣候組織(The Climate Group)與碳揭露計畫(CDP)共同發起的全球再生能源倡議,名為RE100,邀請全世界各企業公開承諾100%使用再生能源,並設立自己的目標,在Google,Apple等指標性的品牌公司加入並宣布自家公司及旗下供應鏈均應滿足其訂立的目標。台灣的護國神山台積電,也在2020年宣布加入,而台灣以代工王國之美名,為全世界的很多產品代工,對於實踐使用再生能源,實現碳中和的目標,就更加的重要了。
    2019年底,新冠肺炎肆虐,橫掃全球,直至2022年6月,全球人類仍處在疫情的恐慌之下,看不見災情結束的盡頭,一波波的變種,除了造成人類重大的疾病後遺症,也改變了人類許多的生活習慣及消費習慣,實體商店和實體娛樂,都透過已經成熟的高速網路,轉變成線上虛擬商店、線上串流影音、線上視訊會議、線上游戲甚至是結合電動車週邊的車聯網,而這些高速需求的應用,人們除了透過電腦,透過人手一支的手機,都能在任意時間、地點及環境,透過伺服器來存取。伺服器的角色,就因此變成現在及未來極為重要的產品了,身為世界的代工龍頭的台灣,在伺服器ODM的出貨,就佔了全球將近九成的比例,可以說是全世界最重要的伺服器的核心。本研究針對伺服器內部能耗佔比高的風扇進行節能的測試,在不影響系統各元件效能及壽命的前提下,透過將伺服器分成不同的熱區來調控風扇的方式,展開伺服器節能的研究,研究的結果發現,分區調控風扇在25℃及40℃的環境下,除了不影響各元件的散熱外,對於節能的效果也有達到2.6%~6.2%的成果,未來會將研究結果分享到現行公司所開發的產品中,期望能夠為伺服器節能盡一份力。
    ;In 2014, The Climate Group and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) jointly launched a global renewable energy initiative named RE100. They invited companies around the world to publicly commit to 100% renewable energy. And set their own goals to reach it step by step. Iconic brand companies such as Google and Apple joined and announced that their own companies and their supply chains should meet their goals. Taiwan′s semiconductor manufacturing leader, TSMC, also announced its participation in 2020. Taiwan, with the reputation of the foundry kingdom, manufactures many products around the world. It is even more important to practice the use of renewable energy and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.
    At the end of 2019, Covid-19 raged and swept the world. Until June 2022, the global human beings are still in the panic of the epidemic, and the end of the disaster still cannot be seen. Many living habits and consumption habits of human beings have been changed. Physical stores and physical entertainment have been transformed into online virtual stores, online video streaming, online video conferencing, online games and even V2X(Vehicle-to-everything) which combine with electric vehicles through mature high-speed networks. People can access anything they want through servers at any time, any place and any environment by their computers and mobile phones. The role of the server has therefore become an extremely important product present and future. As the world′s leading ODM, Taiwan′s server ODM shipments account for nearly 90% of the world′s shipments, which can be said to be the world′s largest. In this study, the energy-saving test of the fan with a high proportion of internal energy consumption in the server is carried out. On the premise of not affecting the performance and life of each component of the system, the server is divided into different hot zones to control the fan to expand the energy saving of the server. In addition to not affecting the heat dissipation of each component, the results of the study found that the partition-controlled fan has a 2.6%~6.2% effect on energy saving in the environment of 25°C and 40°C. I will share research result with products develop team by the current company and hope it can contribute to energy saving of servers.
