;Although the discussion of everyday aesthetics or aesthetics of everyday life is not new, it is indeed quite recent that it has received the attention of scholars and gradually formed a new field of study that is clearly distinguishable from the two major fields under aesthetics, namely, art aesthetics and natural aesthetics. Analytical aesthetics not only focuses on works of art, but also pays little attention to everyday aesthetic phenomena. On the one hand, it approaches art in terms of art language and art institutions, and on the other hand, it tries to explain aesthetic experiences in terms of non-aesthetic things. Everyday aesthetics sees in this approach a disconnection between art and life, neglecting the intimate relationship between art and life that nourishes each other. This paper focuses on the work of Thomas Leddy as the primary reference and introduces the development of contemporary everyday aesthetics, including its scope and related theories. Also, Leddy’s theory of aura will be discussed to fix this disconnection, and this paper will also give reasons for how solving this problem can help improve our lives in terms of aesthetic. Finally, it will conclude with a review, reflection, and commentary.
