Abstract:	1970年代以來的自然攝影和現代與當代藝術同步，透露人類與自然的關係如何交涉、維繫、修復。許多攝影家以生態批判的觀點，洞察自然和社會之間的動態關聯。本計畫研究重點有三：從安瑟．亞當斯在台灣的接受傳揚，探討自然攝影的環境美學、從動物園攝影探討自然作為城市奇觀、從山野攝影分析自然作為歷史重寫本。此三項課題尚未引起學術界重視，然而對於理解攝影文化史中的自然主題相當重要。自然攝影作為跨國流通的文化實踐，蘊含不同的拍攝動機、目標觀眾和傳遞媒介，揭示變動的生態觀、記錄手法、歷史視野和美學思維，預期本研究對於視覺文化史與環境倫理的深入瞭解具有重要影響。
