本論文探討一般平面顯示器的輝度量測問題,發現當目標點灰階固定而只改變背景灰階時,量測到目標點的輝度,本來應該隨目標點灰階值固定而不作改變,但實際上卻會因背景灰階值增加而提升。故本論文旨在探討在量測顯示器的輝度時,所受到背景干擾的程度與規律,乃提出一簡易模型,推論是因為顯示器內部光源的光線,經過前保護玻璃板曲折後,造成側向漏光,因此影響到目標點的量測值。所提出的簡易模型,可以用來用以瞭解量測數值中來自目標點與來自背景值影響的比例高低。最後,本論文成功地建立平面顯示器之光學模型,由點光源出發、推展到單一畫素的發光模型、再推展到圖案式的發光模型。所預測目標點圖案與背景之組合,與實驗量測結果比較,能夠得到一致的趨勢,解決傳統上的量測受背景干擾的問題。;This thesis studied the issues of luminance measurements on flat-panel displays. In principle, the luminance measurement is correlated with the luminance of the target areas only and uncorrelated with the luminance in the background. However, it is always found that the measured luminance of the targeting area on the flat-panel displays is always interfered with by the background luminance. Thus, we propose a simple optical model that can quantitatively explore the luminance ratio between the target and the background. According to the simple optical model, the light emitted from each pixel of the flat-panel display will be diverted and partly inner-total reflected within the front protection glass plates. Finally, the measured results are of trends very close to the evaluation by the simple optical model.
