;According to the TASA “FORMOSAT-7 Implementation Plan (2011-2018)”, in collaboration with the Central Weather Administration and the domestic academic and research communities, the project aims to develop a GNSS radio occultation data retrieval system, the Taiwan Radio Occultation Processing System (TROPS), as an independent validation platform for FORMOSAT-7 data. This project is an extension plan, that continues to verify the quality of atmospheric occultation data and analyze the retrieval products. It also continues to assist the Taiwan Data Processing Center within the Central Weather Administration in maintaining TROPS operations to ensure the proper functioning of FORMOSAT-7 data processing. For the FORMOSAT-7 mission, which will include receiving data from the Galileo satellite, the project assist to develop Galileo satellite positioning products and evaluating the impact of Galileo satellite occultation observation data on atmospheric forecasting. Additionally, in line with TASA’s third-phase meteorological satellite constellation planning, the project will develop corresponding data processing modules. The project includes monitoring and analyzing the precise orbit products of meteorological satellite constellations, analyzing and validating TROPS atmospheric products, and evaluating the assimilation of occultation data through simulations.
