    Abstract: The projects addresses the urgent need to understand the impacts of climate change on Arctic ecosystems. The rapid melting of glaciers in Svalbard, significantly accelerated by climate change, presents a unique opportunity to study coastal evolution under extreme conditions. Secondly, the study leverages a cutting-edge interdisciplinary approach, combining advanced technologies (UAV surveys) with traditional fieldwork techniques (geological mapping, sedimentology, geochronology). The use of high-resolution UAV imagery and DEMs will provide unparalleled detail on newly exposed terrains, revealing previously hidden geological features and enhancing our understanding of geomorphological processes. Thirdly, the collaborative nature of the project, involving researchers from National Central University (Taiwan) and Nicolaus Copernicus University (Poland), underscores the international importance of tackling global challenges through interdisciplinary research. This international collaboration facilitates the sharing of expertise and resources, enhancing the project's capacity and its potential for significant scientific output.
