Abstract:	台灣西南外海是ㄧ個地體構造複雜的區域，同時存在活動與被動大陸邊緣特徵。這區域是否存在呂宋-琉球轉形板塊邊界(Luzon-Ryukyu Transform Plate Boundary; LRTPB)一直是地球科學研究人員感興趣的問題。畢竟板塊邊界是個極為特殊的構造。此特殊構造也必然會對區域地體構造演化造成影響。在2009年TAIGER計畫及天然氣水合物探勘熱度下降後，近幾年台灣對於南海北部的研究少了很多。本計畫藉由探討LRTPB東西兩側地質及地球物理特徵差異的原因可了解其地殼組成特性，預期對於南海北部地體構造演化能有更多了解。
