;Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology has been widely adopted in public construction projects in the architecture and engineering industry. The industry primarily utilizes Revit along with other 2D and 3D design software to conduct construction interface coordination, review, and management. Currently, construction companies typically rely on a streamlined in-house BIM team supplemented by external personnel to fulfill contractual requirements and meet client expectations. Although G Construction Company has established a dedicated BIM team, it still largely relies on managers′ and decision-makers′ personal experience to assign tasks. This often results in unfair labor distribution, inefficiencies in departmental coordination, and excessive workloads for BIM engineers, ultimately leading to low operational efficiency.

To address these issues, this study aims to assist managers and decision-makers in effectively utilizing human resources, planning personnel support strategies, and improving cost performance management within the BIM department. The research focuses on optimizing manpower assignment for BIM engineers in construction projects by considering the differences in job roles and targeting workload balance. An optimization model is developed based on mathematical programming theory and solved using LINGO 20.0 software. Furthermore, sensitivity analysis is conducted to evaluate the impact of changes in workforce size and project quantity. The results serve as a reference for improving human resource allocation and strategic decision-making in construction enterprises.
