台灣地區地處亞熱帶,夏季高溫多雨,對瀝青混凝土路面結構的損害相當大;並且工商業快速發展,車流量迅速地成長,對於道路運輸系統的要求品質也逐年提高。依據國外相關研究顯示轉爐石利用於道路應用於面層材料方面之成果良好,證實轉爐石可取代天然級配料作為面層材料。本研究主要為評估滾筒轉爐石應用於瀝青混凝土鋪面成效結果,透過在桃園市中壢區龍慈路之道路工程,並執行成效試驗,檢視材料應用於鋪面工程之效益,提供工程界對於再生粒料使用上有新的契機,並期使工業副產品材料資源能有效再利用。;Taiwan is located in a subtropical region, characterized by hot and rainy summers, which significantly damage asphalt concrete pavement structures. In addition, the rapid development of industry and commerce has led to a substantial increase in traffic volume, thereby raising the quality demands on road transportation systems. According to international research, basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slag has shown promising results when used as a surface course material in road applications, confirming its potential as a substitute for natural aggregates. This study aims to evaluate the performance of using BOF slag in asphalt concrete pavement by conducting a case study on Longci Road in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City. Performance tests were carried out to assess the effectiveness of BOF slag in pavement engineering. The results are expected to provide the engineering community with new opportunities for utilizing recycled aggregates and to promote the sustainable reuse of industrial by-products.
