Tap dance has not yet gained widespread attention in Taiwan, and its integration with Hakka culture is a topic of first-time research. With the influence of globalization, Hakka culture faces a crisis in inheritance, making the innovation and preservation of traditional culture an important issue. The main objective of this study is to explore how innovative expressions of tap dance can breathe new life into Hakka culture. Second, the research will analyze how the creators use tap dance to express their understanding of Hakka culture and explore the deeper meaning of cultural identity. Finally, the study will explore the impact of these works on the audience, particularly how they promote recognition and acceptance of Hakka culture. This study argues that tap dance, as an innovative dance form, can effectively combine with Hakka culture, preserving tradition while attracting modern youth.
