;With the increasing severity of global warming and energy shortages, governments worldwide are tightening carbon emission regulations and environmental laws, compelling industries to accelerate their transition toward sustainability. As a major producer and supplier of high-energy-consuming equipment, the air conditioning industry faces mounting pressure from government regulations, carbon neutrality policies, and shifting market demands. Simultaneously, consumer demand for energy-efficient and eco-friendly products continues to rise, requiring companies to develop more sustainable and efficient solutions to maintain market competitiveness and long-term viability.
This study employs literature analysis, industry trend research, and the author’s extensive experience in the air conditioning sector to conduct an in-depth exploration of D Company’s sustainable development strategies. The research focuses on policy and regulatory compliance, energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, low-GWP refrigerant applications, smart air conditioning and digital transformation, ESG supply chain management, and circular economy models, analyzing how companies can adapt to global environmental trends and market shifts.
The findings indicate that D Company has successfully implemented high-efficiency energy-saving designs, promoted low-GWP refrigerant technology, and developed intelligent energy management systems, effectively reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption throughout the product lifecycle while enhancing market competitiveness. Furthermore, companies must proactively address regulatory changes in refrigerants, strengthen global refrigerant recycling systems, and increase renewable energy adoption to ensure sustainable supply chain operations and compliance with future market requirements.
This study also proposes specific improvement strategies, including accelerating technological innovation, promoting global standardization of refrigerant recycling, expanding renewable energy investments, and strengthening ESG supply chain management. By integrating policy support, technological advancements, management optimization, and industry collaboration, the air conditioning industry can effectively balance economic growth with environmental sustainability and secure a long-term competitive advantage.
