Abstract:	本計畫透過研究德國索勃民族處境與該民族相關政策，以此作為思考與批判臺灣客家族群政策的探針，故預期對臺灣產生以下影響。首先，在政策層面，索勃民族在政策層次執行從其所屬的邦政府為主，而臺灣則是中央層級的客家委員會，故可思考不同政府層級對於族群政策的影響，以及族群政策可借鏡之處。其次，就社會層面來說，德國面對「差異」的態度與多元文化論述反映出該國國族論述，以此檢視臺灣的差異政治、多元文化主義與國族論述的關係。最末，在學術上，則以國族主義、多元文化主義、族群政策等理論，釐清人群分類邏輯，並從政治、經濟、社會與文化面向了解族群關係形成的歷史過程與政治結構，進而檢視制度與人群分類方式對於族群界線的影響。
