本研究對象為用於資料中心的美國直接水冷專利。擷取491件美國專利文件之內容,並且將技術與功效之關鍵字歸納,形成研究之基本資料。經整理,技術共計12項,功效為9項。本研究對各別技術與功效加以做說明,以做為特徵的定義。 歸納後的關鍵字形成技術功效矩陣圖,可觀察到各技術群與功效群的個別計數。本研究透過矩陣內各功效對應的每項技術衍伸為以功效為主的雷達圖,依此提供功效對應技術的多對多關係。 本論文由計數統計之資料,繪製每項技術群與功效群的柏拉圖,依此揭露資料中心運作所需的技術與功效需求比重,同時反映直接水冷技術之發展重心,有助於理解產業在不同技術領域的發展策略。 本研究統計自2002年起,於美國申請之直接水冷技術相關專利,用以觀察此直接水冷逐年發展趨勢。經資料統計,得知所有專利所有權人之國籍共14國,且由此統計列出排名前五大專利申請國與前五大專利所有權人。台灣企業可藉此專利所有權人列表,判斷與之競合關係與決策市場佈局區域。最後修正各專利所有權人之母國國籍,以及重新整理各國持有專利比例與重新排名,藉此反映各國涉及直接水冷技術企業之間的真正勢態。 ;This study focuses on U.S. patents related to direct liquid cooling solution applied in data center. Over the abstracts of the collected patent documents, keywords are extracted to categorize the technology and function for grouping. Through the process, there are 12 technologies and 9 functions are identified. The items within each technology and function category are further defined and described to establish the analytical framework for this research.
The grouped keywords are derived from the categorized technologies and functions, and are used to construct the technology–function matrix. By using the complied matrix, the researchers are interested in the direct liquid cooling tech are able to gain insights how the functions corresponds to each technology as well as the statical numbers of both technologies and functions. This study provides radar charts which visualized present the correlation and affectless between functions and technologies.
From the statistical data, two pareto charts illustrating the portion of each technology and function that reveal the relative weight and reflect the priority of each item. The two charts assist enterprises in considering the strategical development.
The thesis counted the yearly applied patents from 2002 to observe the trend of the development, and categorize the countries by the nationality of patent applicants. According to the statistical data, a total of 14 countries are making contribution to the development of direct liquid cooling technology. The study ranked the countries to determine the top 5 for patent filing. By the information described above, the Taiwanese enterprises may consider appropriate development strategy for these main patentees/assignees.
Finally, the nationality of each patent assignee’s parent company was corrected, and the proportions of patents held by each country were recounted and re-ranked. This correction accurately reflects the actual competitive situation among enterprises involving in direct liquid cooling technologies.
