    Abstract: 摘要: Oxygen‐vacant nanocrystalline MnO2 has been prepared by the simple process of annealing pristine oxide in Ar or O2. Both experimental and computational studies indicate that the catalytic activity of MnO2 towards oxygen reduction is enhanced by introducing a modest concentration of oxygen vacancies.
