    摘要: 摘要: In this paper, a new reflective pulse oximeter is proposed and demonstrated with implanting a Fresnel lens, which enhances the reflected signal. An optical simulation model incorporated with human skin characteristics is presented to evaluate the capability of the Fresnel lens. In addition, the distance between the light emitting diode and the photodiode is optimized. Compared with the other reflective oximeters, the reflected signal light detected by the photodiode is enhanced to more than 140%. •A new reflective pulse oximeter is proposed and demonstrated with implanting a Fresnel lens, which enhances the reflected signal.•An optical simulation model incorporated with human skin characteristics is presented to evaluate the capability of the Fresnel lens.•The useful design of this reflective pulse oximeter would enable the application of low-cost device of continuously monitoring of daily activity.
