In this study, 3-dimensional finite element model is used to analyze pavement response. Two parts are included in the analysis. On one hand, non-uniformly static contact stresses are considered; on the other hand, uniformly dynamic contact stresses are discussed. In the condition of non-uniformly static contact stress, pavement structure effect of vehicle stop is simulated and the effect of tire pressure on pavement structure under traffic load was observed. In the condition of uniformly dynamic contact stress, load positions are changed with time to simulate pavement structure effect of vehicle moving at uniform speed. In the analysis, plastic material property, water content, and earth stress are used to analyze the pavement response under different loads and tire pressures. The results show that, when the loading type is the same, the dynamic influence is smaller than static. However, there are different between the results from uniform and non-uniform loads. Increasing load and tire pressure lead to different deflections of surface and strains.
