    Title: 利用FORMOSAT-3加強觀測電離層結構與變化;Ionospheric Plasma Structure and Variation during the FORMOSAT-3 Intense Observation Period

    Abstract: 因應福衛三號於2006年3月發射升空,本計畫發展電離層空間結構的密集觀測法進行福衛三號GOX和TIP酬載儀器的科學資料校正,以及電離層密集觀測實驗。福衛三號的六顆低軌(LEO)衛星集中能密集觀測同一時間和空間的電離層結構,因此可進行GOX與TIP電離層相關的系統誤差參數自我和互相校正。結合福衛三號GOX和TIP與TIMED人造衛星GUVI光度計資料,以及TIEGCM和SUPIM全球電離層模擬,可以研究之大氣暉光和電離層電漿泡之精細結構與微小變化的物理和動力機制。此外,聯合福衛三號GOX和TIP以及同地點之區域全球定位系統GPS地面觀測網記錄之全電子含量(TEC),可以建立電離層斷層掃瞄而獲得高時空解析之三維空間電漿結構和變化,以為未來監測太空天氣做準備。 The FORMOSAT is scheduled to be launched in March of 2006. This proposal makes use of the intense ionospheric observation to celibate scientific data recorded by the FORMOSAT payloads GOX and TIP, as well as carry out intense experiments to explore the fine structure of ionospheric plasma. In the early stage of the FORMOSAT, observations from the cluster of the low earth orbital (LEO) satellites can be used to self- and cross-calibrate the system bias of GOX and TIP. The calibrated GOX and TIP data together with existing TIMED GUVI and GPS GIM observations can be further compared with simulations of ionospheric models TIEGCM and SUPIM to understand dynamics and mechanisms of ionospheric airglow, irregularity and plasma bubble. Meanwhile, combining observations the GOX, TIP and co-located ground-based GPS networks, a 3-D tomography is preformed to obtain high temporal and special resolution of ionospheric structure and variation. This shall serve a milestone for monitoring ionospheric space weather. 研究期間:9412 ~ 9511
