;The construction industry plays a vital role in a country′s economic development. Despite its significance, it exhibits a high level of occupational hazards worldwide. In Taiwan, to enhance occupational safety, regulations mandate risk assessment before and after each stage of design, manufacturing, importation, or construction planning. Although regulations and guidelines prioritize risk management, some challenges arise in the risk assessment process, particularly in reflecting risk identification through engineering drawings, where certain issues are difficult to observe in 2D formats. This study primarily follows the risk assessment process outlined in the "Construction Engineering Risk Assessment Technical Guidelines," integrating Taiwan′s BIM guidelines. It suggests improvements and recommendations to the existing process, consolidates the application methods of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to assist in construction engineering risk assessment, and establishes a workflow for incorporating BIM application technology into construction risk assessment. Through literature review, past case studies, and expert interviews, the aim is to establish a workflow for incorporating BIM into construction engineering risk assessment and applying it to various practical scenarios in the future.
