摘要(英) Supply chain management (SCM) has been a critical component of competitive strategy for increasing productivity, efficiency, flexibility and responsiveness. Firms have been increasingly using interorganizational systems (IOS) to enhance information sharing and coordination in the supply chain. However, different levels of information sharing in the context of IOS have not been thoroughly examined yet. The objective of this study is to explore the effects of IOS integration and supplier-manufacturer relationships on operational and strategic information sharing in supply chains and whether the development of supplier-manufacturer relationships and sharing of operational and strategic information would contribute to supply chain performance.
The study collects data survey from top 1000 Taiwanese manufacturing firms to test the hypotheses. The results show that both operational and strategic information sharing are positive associated with supply chain performance. Our results provide both theoretical and practical implications that contribute to a better understanding of the effects of different levels of information with IOS integration.
