dc.description.abstract | In this study, 10 cm × 10 cm DSSC modules were used to investigate the performances and stability under various test conditions (light intensity, angle of light, temperature, humidity and different light sources). The DSSC module also applies outdoor test for more than 360 days.
First, the effect of concentration of dye solution, co-adsorbent and pre-treatment of photoanode on photovoltaic performance of DSSC module under various light intensities was studied. The pre-treatment of TiO2 compact layer has obvious effect on FF under lower light intensity. The best performance of DSSC modules shows efficiency up to 16% under 1000 Lx, and the DSSC modules still maintain >10% under a lower light intensity (about 100 Lx).
At impact of the incident angle, in order to reduce non-perpendicular incident light problem, a regular arrangement SiO2 sphere which on the glass surface compare to no surface treatment reduced the reflectance about 10% when the incident angle >50o. DSSC module with surface SiO2 order structure enhances the cumulative power (Pout) value of 11% to that without any surface treatment.
In the accelerated aging test, the DSSC module keep stable at -15oC for more than 1200 hours, and the relative efficiency only reduced by 12% at 65oC for more than 1200 hours. Furthermore, the module remains the original efficiency of 95% after 20 times thermal cycles test. In addition, relative efficiency of DSSC module decreased by 8% under continuous illumination (1sun/65oC) for more than 1550 hours. We consider the aging factor to fix module life up to 4.7 years. Under indoor continuous illumination (1000 Lx) over 1000 hours, the relative efficiency is reduced by 2%. After 3000 hours, the relative efficiency only reduces 11%. Finally, DSSC modules remained stable performance for outdoor test during 10 June 2015 to 17 June 2016, and the DSSC module life time can fixed to 9.5 years after amendment. | en_US |
