dc.description.abstract | Taoyuan City was promoted to a municipality since 2014, and from January 1, 2018, the Taoyuan City Government Project Construction Inspection Team was transferred to the Public Works Bureau. The team members have an engineering background and engineering practical experience and helped the public engineering construction quality by improving the disqualified items after inspection.
This research is based on the project inspection in the operating mechanism of the Taoyuan City Government’s Project Construction Inspection Team, and collect the 2017-2020 performance appraisal results of the inspection team. The advantages, disadvantages, and recommendations of the appraisal, are classified into the four major categories of SWOT analysis method: strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities, and used the SWOT matrix analysis strategy.
Based on the principle of the best efficiency and easy implementation, analyze the improvement strategies: Vendor performance scoring application, engineering management platform with a database, and an inspection team improving the quality.
The improvement strategies provide the Taoyuan City Government’s engineering construction inspection team and the Works Bureau the implementation of the improvement actions of various engineering inspections, including the vendor performance scoring, applied to the Taoyuan City Government’s bidder’s engineering performance mechanism, the establishment of an engineering management platform, and the inspection team appraisal mechanism, to improve the performance of the construction inspection team, and the quality of public works in Taoyuan City. | en_US |
