| dc.description.abstract | 本研究是以台灣海運業的上市上櫃公司為研究對象，探討個案公司第三、四屆公司治理評鑑結果與經營績效之關聯性。研究結果發現，公司治理評鑑前20%之個案公司其獲利能力及償債能力優於其他等級公司，公司治理評鑑與董事會組織功能有明顯的正向關聯性，第三屆及第四屆公司治理評鑑結果前20%之個案公司排名相關性高。另外也發現，公司治理評鑑與股利政策無明顯正向關聯性。本研究最後對個案公司及後續研究提出建議，做為強化公司治理實務與理論之參考。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the association between corporate governance evaluation and firm performance for listed and OTC (over-the-counter) firms of shipping industry in Taiwan over the period of 2016-2017.The results show that firms ranked top 20% in the corporate governance evaluation had higher profitability and better debt-paying ability than other companies. In addition, the ratings of corporate governance evaluation are positively related to the function of board of directors. Moreover, it is found that most of the firms ranked top 20% in the corporate governance evaluation in 2016 were still in the top 20% in 2017. The corporate governance evaluation, however, showed no relationship with dividend policy. Finally, this study provides some suggestions to policy-makers and practitioners for the enhancement of corporate governance theory and practice. | en_US |
