dc.description.abstract | Yi-Min belief is one of the important connotations of Hakka culture. Among them, there is a so-called sacrificial worship of Yimin Ye, because it is handed down from generation to generation. People must raise divine Pig to sacrifice to Yi-min Ye. In the past agricultural society, the breeding process of divined pigs had not been affected by any outsiders. In recent years, due to the relationship of animal protection groups, those animals must enjoy animal welfare, so it is not possible to artificially feed or forcefully feed the divine pigs from human point of view. In order to seek weight, this is the inhuman way to treat animals. There are two problems in front of me because of the divine pig sacrifice. Firstly, the sacredness of the Yimin Festival and maintaining the culture of the Hakka group Yi-Min Festival. Secondly,The abuse and slaughter of the divined pig caused some controversy during the breeding process of the sacred pig. The main question in this thesis arises from the dilemma of the sacrifice of the divined pig and the animal protection groups in the Yi-Min Festival.
The main research field of this thesis is to hold the ceremony of volunteers held in Taoyuan city Pingzhen District Baozhong Temple. Although the Yi-Min Festival is not limited to the Zhongli area, the issues are related to religious and cultural festivals and animal welfare, and all the cases adopted are mainly Taoyuan City Pingzhen District Baozhong Temple.
This paper uses qualitative research, and the research methods are mainly literature analysis method, in-depth interview method and participation observation method. This study found that in fact, animal protection groups are not opposed to the divined pig sacrifice activities, just against competition. As long as the breeder improves the pig raising and slaughter process by means of animal welfare. Meet the demands of animal protection groups, both creative sacred pig and traditional divined pig sacrifice can coexist. | en_US |
