dc.description.abstract | Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is one of the important resources to maintain the economic operation in Taiwan.No matter in the home scene of cooking and washing, the industrial scene of machine operating, or the commercial scene of restaurant opening, they all have an inseparable relationship with LPG.The past researches showed that after the two stages of oil liberalization in Taiwan, the multi-level industrial structure of LPG industry have been established since 1999. In other words, on the road of industrial upgrading and transforming, the LPG industry still has room for improvement and great research significance. Under the existing multi-level industrial structure of LPG industry, this study explores lots of problems, such as poor management efficiency, difficulty in quality control, and long path of selling. Therefore, an innovative business model for industrial organization reform is proposed with the central concept of “disintermediation”, which aims to solve the problems mentioned above and to establish a blueprint for the future development of LPG industry, with a view to smooth the industrial upgrading and transforming.
This study explores the general environment and supply/demand of the LPG industry by industrial analysis, then evaluating the feasibility of an innovative business model by the Business Model Canvas. The results show that industrial-disintermediation and information transparency are two key policies to induce the upgrading and transforming of the LPG industry. | en_US |
