dc.description.abstract | As concerns about climate change and an aging global population mount, smart buildings are becoming increasingly important. These buildings leverage advanced technologies to create safe, healthy, energy-efficient, and comfortable environments that meet the growing demand for smart living solutions. However, developing such projects requires collaboration and sophisticated management strategies. Traditional construction management often fails to bridge communication gaps and reconcile cognitive differences, which can hinder project progress, reduce client satisfaction, and even lead to project failure.
Agile development has transformed the software industry through management methods that emphasize continuous output, enhanced communication, and iterative service design based on user feedback. This research proposes the extension of these agile principles to transform traditional management practices in smart building system projects, aiming to boost efficiency and optimize the benefits of intelligent applications. The study will use a case study methodology and expert interviews to analyze a company′s experiences in implementing smart building systems with agile methods. The results will be used to develop an "Agile Smart Building System Implementation Management Process" framework, enabling the company to tackle project execution challenges and become an agile-responsive organization. Furthermore, the findings will provide valuable insights and serve as a practical guide for other entities in the construction industry, encouraging the adoption of agile practices to fully leverage smart building technologies in a dynamic technological environment. | en_US |
