This article is to, by virtue of two main theme of Queer and science fiction, analyze the work of Lucifer Hung. Her novels, either from the perspective of the 90’s or contemporary standpoint, all seem ahead of the time and extraordinary. Inside her novel is the game of transgender often played. She exhibited, in the form of fully portraying homosexual or abnormal sexual relationship, a new, different perspective toward sexual desire inside the interchange of role of gender, misplacement of gender, and S/M. The depiction of bloodshed and violence constitutes the primary character of those novels created by Lucifer Hung, and the supremacy of worshiping romantic love affair has enormously demeaned the necessity of gender. These factors implicitly placed criticism against Patriarchy system, two opposite stances of gender, and the mainstream of heterosexual relationship. Her queer, aggressive form of writing concept has been revealed from within her masterpiece.
In fact, science fiction has been her best device of unveiling her thought. In the category of science fiction, homosexual desire may be made complete by means of love affair between different species. Giving birth does is not confined to women, and the aftermath of the end of the world symbolizing the collapse of the world in disorder gives rise to rebirth of a new perspective toward sexual desire. Additionally, the eternal life span of vampire can be conceived as the metaphor of Patriarchy system. The utopia imagination of sexual identification is embodied inside the long-chapter novel with space drama. By means of technology and science of fantasy, she let people start to question the memory and reality, and Jesus Christ who represents the truth turns out to be the aim of betrayal within the fantasy of science.
