dc.description.abstract | As the pluralism and internationalization trend of Taiwan’’s financial market environment, traditional financial products and services has failed to meet investor demands. 1988 Citibank introduced wealth management concepts to Taiwan, but until the last five years, individual banks begin to invest in the so-called wealth management market. Taiwan’’s wealth management market is now in the "developing market" stage, there are many of signs of crack appear because of the domestic banks rapidly imitating the foreign models of wealth management experience.
Although banks advertised that personal wealth management asset allocation basis is to fit life goals and needs of the customers, in fact, there are still significant gaps at this stage between the mode of operation and aspirations. If domestic wealth management bank rebill the business model of continuing to achieve the main source of revenue, not on the assets under management size of the profit engines, in the long run, domestic banks and financial holding company with the resources is unable to global resources worldwide competition among banks. And domestic wealth management banks will lose the trust of customers.
This study hopes to learn more from the foreign management business models, comprehensiveness of the problems and future business strategy for the current wealth management banks, to provide a future business model of reference for the domestic wealth management banks. | en_US |
