dc.description.abstract | The research mainly aims at developing the industrial strategies of service robot in Taiwan by studying secondary data and interviews with experts. To understand SWOT factors of service robot industry in Taiwan, collect secondary data and interviews with experts from supply, demand and government dimension. Finally, to develop strategies by factor analysis, evaluate SWOT factors by expert assessment.
According to the conclusions, the strengths are adequate human resources related areas of robot, basic technology components and promotion of R & D Alliance by government; the weaknesses are lacking in human resources of specialized personnel robot and cross-integration, lacking in high technology components supply chain, and product commercialization capabilities; the opportunities are labor shortage caused by aging and low birth rate, natural disasters in Taiwan, and support by government; the threats are patented technology controlled by foreign firms, low-cost foreign labor, insufficient of domestic demand, and slowly development.
Finally, the eight suggestions are shown as follows: (a)Strengthen the R & D capabilities, to assist in patent strategy, lower product cost, and increase domestic demand; (b)Continue support by government, to cultivate human resources of cross-integration; (c)Increase support for R & D Alliance; (d) Promote products not yet commercialized; (e)Strengthen the supply chain; (f) Technical cooperation or strategic alliance with foreign firms; (g)Increase understanding of compatriot for health care robot; (h)Increase more support.
