第三代無線通訊網路即將於本世紀初期來臨,它為固接式IP網路到無線通訊網路兩者的多媒體導向服務提供了一個無縫式的整合,亦致力於為各種不同的服務需求提供合適的系統功能。 發展無線通訊資源管理與有效率的handover技術是第三代行動通訊系統發展的重要挑戰之一,其中的一個重要而且複雜的議題就是服務品質(Quality-of-Service,QoS)的保證,本論文的主要研究目的就是提出一個考慮行動通訊使用者於實際應用之服務品質需求的混合式無線資源管理控制架構。透過此一架構,吾等得以有效地改進 CDP、CBP與頻寬利用率。藉由一個兼顧各種不同的服務品質需求的 HOL 佇列架構,此混合式控制架構得以改善頻寬利用率而無須耗用太多的交替控制的資源。 The third-generation wireless communications networks will be brought to the world in the early years of this century. It provides a seamless integration of multimedia-oriented services from both fixed IP networks and wireless communication networks; it is also aimed to provide adequate performance for various service requirements. One of the most important challenges for the development of 3rd generation mobile system is to develop technologies for wireless communication resource management and efficient handover. The important and complex issue is Quality-of-Service (QoS) guarantee in the 3rd generation wireless networks. The main purpose of this study is to propose a hybrid control and wireless communication resource management scheme by considering the QoS requirement of real usage of mobile users. In this scheme, we can efficiently improve CDP, CBP, and bandwidth utilization. We propose a flow-oriented resource reservation scheme for real time traffic, and use a HOL queueing scheme for various QoS requirements. This hybrid control scheme improves the bandwidth utilization without spanning many hand-off efforts.
