本研究依 ISI JCR 之CS學門領域區分,針對CS學門其中七個次領域(Theory & Method 、 Software Engineering 、Cybernetics 、Information System 、Hardware Architecture、 Artificial Intelligence 、Interdisciplinary Applicatior )所收錄的期刊, 逕行至ISI網站收集1993至2004年十二年期間,由台灣地區CS系所發表之文獻進行統 計;以分析這十二年間台灣地區CS學門各次領域的表現。 在這十二年之間,表現最為優異的為 Hardware Architecture 台灣佔全球比例 4.73%,次優為 Information System 台灣佔全球比例 4.68%。除了進行七大次領域文 獻數量的分析之外,另發現於非CS系所,對台灣CS學門文獻篇數貢獻亦不容忽視。 另透過分析各校在各領域的表現及雷達圖的顯示,台灣地區的重點學校均各具 特色,各有其擅長的研究領域。在跨幾個類別的統計上,則普遍以國立大學表現較 為理想。而對於比較熱門的類別諸如 Theory & Method、Cybernetics 、Hardware Architecture,私立學校及科技大學亦有不錯的表現。 對於未來的研究方向,本研究建議加入考量國內期刊及其等級比重,同時考量 國科會的計劃數量,以求更全面的評估在國際間及國內的研究貢獻。 By collecting papers published in SCI publications by Taiwan Computer Science students and scholars during 1993 to 2004 from the ISI website, this paper investigated the academic performance of Taiwan in seven Computer Science subfields (Theory & Method 、 Software Engineering 、Cybernetics 、Information System 、Hardware Architecture、 Artificial Intelligence 、Interdisciplinary Applicatior) over this period according to the ISI JCR Journals Ranking List. In addition to calculating the volume of publications in these subfields, Findings indicated, Information System 、Hardware Architecture are global research trend and the focus of Taiwan. The total volume of papers increased annually both in the world and in Taiwan. The increase of papers in General all over the seven subfield in the world over the period was significant. Of the world’s total publications, the percentage of publications from Taiwan rose slightly annually. The percentage of Hardware Architecture publications in Taiwan was at the top of worldwide over the period about 4.73% of worldwide publications. The second is Information System about 4.68% of worldwide publications . Analysis of the performance in these subfields of different schools and the Stronger subfield school Analysis indicated, every focused school in Taiwan has its own characteristics and field of specialization. The performance of private and technology schools in some popular subfields, such as Theory & Method、Cybernetics 、Hardware Architecture, was quite good. Moreover, national universities had better performance in interdisciplinary studies. In future studies, domestic journals and their ranks should be included and the volume of NSC research projects should be considered in order to assess the contribution of international and domestic academic research.
