This paper addresses the exact model-matching problem of 2-D (two-dimensional) linear shift invariant multivariable systems via the input-output feedback compensation technique. Also, the Kroneck product theory is employed to reduce the mathematical expressions to a compact form. Then, the idea of equating the coefficients of the same term z1i z2j on both sides of an equality is applied to solve it. Furthermore, we give an example to illustrate the power of the present approach.
