本研究計畫之主要目的在於探討社會分享之認知,並分析其在資訊系統專案管理中所扮演之角色。雖然文獻中指出團隊分享的認知是決定團隊效能的重要決定因素,這樣的認知因素在資訊系統文獻中,卻沒有受到應有的關注與充足理論探討和實徵研究。在過去,相關的研究強調資訊專業人員為有效完成其個人工作,所需具備的特定專業技能。而較少的研究關注在執行資訊系統專案時,專案團隊成員所集體擁有之信念、假設與期望。在眾多資訊系統導入失敗的情形下,無人需要進一步較為完整地瞭解團對分享認知的本質,以及影響這些認知的因素和被其所影響的因素。這樣的研究投入無論是在學術或實務上均有其顯著之意義。因此,本計畫提出一項三年期之計畫,深入地研討相關問題,以提供一個堅實的來探索以下所列的問題。以下簡述各年計畫的重點與進行方式。 1. 什麼是資訊系統專案之團隊分享認知的內涵(第一年研究重點)? 本年將專注於發展與定義工作團隊中的社會性分享認知,並探討團隊分享認知的不同理論觀點。所產生的定義性與理論性的成果,將被運用在資訊系統專案的情境中加以分析,並據以發展資訊系統專案之團隊分享認知的構念。 2. 如何、為何團隊分享認知能影響群體過程與團隊效能(第二年研究重點)?本年的主要研究目的,在於探討是否團隊分享認知會影響資訊專案團隊的效能。用來探討此議題的理論觀點,是建立在以知識為基礎的主張上,並專注於兩種群體過程:協調與合作。問卷調查方法將會備用來蒐集實徵分析所需之資料。 3. 在經過前兩年理論及實徵的研究後,第三年將會試圖回答一項最基本的困難問題:團隊分享的認知是如何形成的?此第三年的計畫將會深入地探討團隊分享認知的行程過程,並在觀念與學理上,將這樣的形成過程以社會化的過程觀之與分析。在經由前面的研究及相關文獻研判出影響資訊系統專案的因素,本年將執行一項深入、長時期,以社會化為理論觀點的個案研究。 The goal of this research project is to analyze the role of socially shared cognitions in IS project management. Although team shared cognitions are important determinants of team effectiveness, they have not received sufficient theoretical or empirical attention in IS field. Emphasis has been placed on the specific task knowledge that IS professionals need to perform their individual jobs. Much less attention has been paid to the beliefs, assumptions, and expectations collectively held by team members during IS projects. Given the fact that most IS projects are failed, we believe that a fuller understanding of the nature of team shared cognitions, and the factors that affect and are affected by these cognitions is needed, and such effort should also be of both academic and practical significance. Consequently, this project proposes a three-year research plan to conduct an in-depth investigation so as to provide a solid foundation for examining: 1. What is the content of team shared cognitions in IS projects (1st year focus)? The focus will be on developing and defining socially shared cognitions in work groups and examining the theoretical perspectives on the content of team shared cognitions. With such effort, the definitional and theoretical outcomes will be applied to the IS project context and the development of team shared cognition construct. 2. How and why can team shared cognitions affect group process and team effectiveness (2nd year focus)? The main objective of this year is to investigate whether team shared cognition will have effect on IS team effectiveness. The perspective for theorizing the effect is knowledge-based arguments with a focus on two group processes: coordination and cooperation. An empirical study will be conducted with the survey method. 3. How do team shared cognitions form (3rd year focus)? The third year will conduct an in-depth investigation of the formation process of team shared cognition. The conceptualization of the formation process of team shared cognition is to view it as a socialization process. With the factors affecting the dynamics of IS project identified in the literature, a longitudinal case study will be conducted through the socialization lens. 研究期間:9608 ~ 9707
