在學校教育中,教學品質為學校辦學績效中重要的一部分。因此,教學品質的提昇及永續改善,一直是各校努力改善的議題。官、學、研界也戮力建立及實施各種教學評鑑,用以協助其提昇及永續改善教學品質。對於教學品質而言,課程的實施─即過程,扮演著一重要的角色。高等教育的教學品質除了從組織(例如系所評鑑、校級評鑑等等) 或結果來論定其良窳,應也可以從教師本身及教學過程中有系統地來掌握。然而目前許多對於教師教學品質的評量,例如學生於期末或上述組織評鑑中有關教師的教學評量等,僅以結果或特定時間(例如期末或評鑑活動期間的教師訪談)來看待,往往過於片段或片面,或忽略了教師在實施課程或準備過程的辛勞。高等教育的實施若可以專注在流程─亦即教學過程,那麼從過程來掌握教學品質為一可嘗試的作法。本研究擬應用同樣專注在過程、但原用於管理軟體開發品質的能力成熟度整合模式(CMMI),針對高等教育來建立一套系統性的教學品質能力成熟度模型 (T-CMMI)。透過此模式,使得教師可以依據特定的教學流程領域、或從整體表現的要求下,透過能力度及成熟度來不斷提升及永續改善其教學品質。另外,有別於一般教學評鑑係針對組織,本模式針對教師個人而提供一種可攜式的品質指標。有鑑於現今教師工作競爭日益激烈,本研究預計將提供欲從事教學工作者一個能專注在教學流程、自我永續改善教學品質的參考模式,同時也提供學校在甄選教師時對於其教學的能力度或成熟度能有一較系統性的評量方式。 ; To address teaching quality in higher education, in addition to the organizational focus and the momentary evaluation methods (e.g. students’ or peer-based teaching evaluations), emphasis can also be put on teachers and their teaching processes. In this regard, this proposed research aims to establish a teaching capability maturity model (T-CMM) for teachers. It would provide a systematic and holistic way for a teacher: (1) to pursue a higher capability of a particular teaching process area, or (2) to achieve higher maturity of the total teaching quality that constitutes a set of process areas as a whole, and moreover, (3) to ensure that such efforts/achievements are sustained in the teacher. For a teacher, T-CMM is expected to present a portable teaching quality profile that guides gradual and contextual improvement in the personal teaching career. For an educational organization, T-CMM is expected to ensure the linkages between the organizational educational objectives and supports and the individual teaching acts and needs. The proposed research is expected to be one year long. During the study, the researcher would continually survey relevant literature, especially the domestic contribution in the related area. Although the T-CMM is now finished as a prototype (to demonstrate the feasibility for this proposed research), a continual construction would be conducted in order to be more comprehensive. An empirical case study will be also conducted to demonstrate and verify the use of the proposed model. In the empirical study a number of teachers would be invited to use the proposed model. Upon the completion of the proposed research, in addition to present part of the results in a international conference, a research paper shall be ready for submission to an education or information system or quality management related journal. ; 研究期間 9808 ~ 9907
