This study probes into the network analysis of operating stores and wholesalers of Chinese medicine, in Malaysia and Singapore we have discovered that the Hakkas have had monopoly over pawnshops and stores of Chinese medicine, but there is now less monopoly in the business of Chinese medicine, but the Hakkas are still the majority. The stores of Chinese medicine are owned mostly in Northern Taoyuan bythe Taiwanese people, in Southern Taoyuan they are owned mostly by the Hakkas.Their network is family business, ethnic work division, partnerships; it is not a particular ethnic group but a difference of proportions. The organization which communicates with all members of stores of Chinese medicine is Taoyuan Chinese Medicine Association, its role is to assist and guide the stores of Chinese medicine to transform and provide business characteristics to different groups, with the purpose to reduce the diversity among different groups. On the other hand, the directors of the association can master the whole sale market; this is one of the main reasons to attract the members to assume the position of directors. Does the business mode among the different groups have economic characteristics of ethnic groups among the whole sale and retailers of Chinese medicine operated by the Hakkas in southern Taiwan? The Hakkas retailers of Chinese medicine in southern Taoyuan are ethnic economy, and in northern Taoyuan the stores of Chinese medicine are mainly operated by the Taiwanese people, which is mostly under a mentoring system, but the Taiwanese people have also homeinheritance system, but the amount is not significant enough to characterize it as its specific ethnic business. Some wholesalers of Chinese medicine have their ownpharmaceutical factory, among these factories there is healthy competition and cooperation, but the Hakkas do not hold the most industry of Chinese medicine, it is hold mostly by the Taiwanese people, therefore, the wholesale business of Chinese medicine operated by the Hakkas in southern Taoyuan as an ethnic business can only be considered as regional. |
