Combinatorial solid-phase synthesis is a powerful tool for new drug research, by which libraries of structural distinct molecules can be synthesized quickly and then be submitted for biological testing. Many natural and synthetic products having the skeleton of isoquinolinones and carbolinones exhibit important biological active properties. Applying combinatorial solid-phase synthesis to the libraries of isoquinolinones and carbolinones, we have demonstrated a new synthetic strategy to the successful application.
